The agent of Mamelodi Sundowns coach Manqoba Mngqithi has addressed the coach's rumored transfer to Kaizer Chiefs.

With his contract set to expire soon, Mngqithi has been linked with a possible exit from the reigning dstv Premiership champions after the coach was demoted at the beginning of the previous season.

Mngqithi started the season as a co-coach alongside with Rulani Mokwena but the coach was demoted to the senior coach role with Mokwena taking the sole head coach role.

Mngqithi has been linked with some of Dstv premiership clubs and Kaizer Chiefs are among of those clubs that have been mentioned as the next destination for the senior coach of the Brazilians.

The Soweto Giants are currently not doing well under the leadership of Arthur Zwane after the club finished the recent season on fifth position and failed to qualify for the continental tournament, CAF Champions League and on top of that Amakhosi failed to end the club's long standing trophy drought.

Some of Amakhosi supporters have been calling for the axing of Zwane and potentially be replaced by Mngqithi.

The agent of Mngqithi, Mike Makaab has a discussed the coach's rumored transfer to Amakhosi while he also took his time to clarify the situation of the coach with his current club Sundowns.

Makaab insisted that the contract of the coach will expire in June next year 2024 and that there have been no club that have came knocking for his services.

"No, there’s been absolutely no formal approach. There’s been many reports circulating, and I don’t have to tell you where there’s smoke there’s probably fire," he added.

Makaab added that if there is anything that needs to be said they will sit down with the coach and discuss a way forward.

The agent insisted that the coach has a full intentions of honouring his contract with the Brazilians until June next year 2024.
