GEORGE NEWS - Pupils from Life Christian Academy (LCA) displayed great talent at the Western Province Christian Schools Association regional athletics track and field championships on Saturday 17 September.

They took many first, second and third places and broke a number of records. The event was held at the Van Riebeeck sport grounds in Mossel Bay.

"Our first attempt to introduce our athletes to shot put in a competitive setting was worth the effort and they did not disappoint,"said Life Community Services CEO Maryna de Vries.

"Our thanks to the Lord for His protection on the road as well as the event. We are thankful for our LCA teachers and coaches who were officials on the day. The joyful sacrifice of the teachers and coaches was contagious and we had the privilege of contributing to yet another successful athletics day.

"The organisers of the event, Hein Johnson and his team, are going from strength to strength," said De Vries.
