Chelsea Champions League squad in full as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Joao Felix decisions made 44 days ago

Chelsea’s January transfer spending spree has forced Graham Potter to make some big name omissions ahead of the return of the Champions League.

UEFA rules state only three new players can be registered for the knockout phases, meaning the Blues had to leave a number of high-profile players out of their squad for the European campaign.

Three of the seven signings made during last month’s frantic transfer window have been omitted, while there is no place for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Chelsea’s only fit recognised central striker.

Benoit Badiashile is another who has not made the cut, along with fellow new arrivals, Noni Madueke, David Datro Fofana and Andrey Santos.

There are inclusions, however, for Joao Felix, Mykhalio Mudryk and Enzo Fernandez.

Lewis Hall, who has featured prominently under Graham Potter in recent weeks, has also been included on the club’s List B, which allows U21 players who have been with the club at least two years to be registered.

Chelsea travel to Borussia Dortmund next week as they begin their knockout campaign.
